The AHLE Film Series
Logline: The AHLE FILM SERIES celebrates the diverse spectrum of human experiences, honoring individual creativity and selfhood. These films offer insight, education, and challenge outdated cultural norms, showcasing the beauty of intersectionality and lived experience.
The AHLE Film Series grew out of art therapy summits created by art therapist BA Short. These summits offered participants a space to explore their diverse life experiences through art in an open studio setting. Focusing on specific aspects of human experience and intersectionality, each project fostered dialogue, art creation, and problem-solving to inform, educate, and challenge rigid norms. Each summit culminated in art exhibits and educational talks. Building on this foundation, the AHLE Film Series uses film to highlight individuals and their work, celebrating the rich tapestry of human experience and honoring individual creativity and selfhood. These films provide insight, education, and challenge outdated cultural norms, showcasing the beauty of intersectionality and lived experience.
This series is currently in production and will be streaming on YouTube. Our goal is to make these stories accessible to all.
